and incredible numbers of birds. Dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.

easily Tanzania’s most famous national park, and it’s also the largest, at 14,763 square kilometers of
protected area that borders Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park. Its far-reaching plains of endless grass,
tinged with the twisted shadows of acacia trees, have made it the quintessential image of a wild and
untarnished Africa. Its large stone kopjes are home to rich ecosystems, and the sheer magnitude and

variety of birdlife along the shore of this beautiful lake, and the location alone makes it a great place
to spend a couple of nights. The meadows along the shore are home to a wide variety of wildlife
including the elusive leopard, hippos, a variety of monkeys, and most importantly a host of both greater
and lesser flamingos. Several very pleasant private lodges and tented camps are located in the forest
clearings by the lake; these provide great accommodation and are made as much as possible from local
materials.
Day 9 : Tarangire National park –Arusha
Depart after your morning breakfast for Tarangire National Park. The fierce sun sucks the moisture
from the landscape, baking the earth a dusty red, the withered grass as brittle as straw. The Tarangire
River has shriveled to a shadow of its wet season self. But it is choked with wildlife. Thirsty nomads
have wandered hundreds of parched kilometers knowing that here, always, there is water. Arrive in
time for your hot lunch at your lodge. Enjoy your evening game drive at Tarangire National Park. .
There after you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back home.
