Boma Ng’ombe
Our first stop will be at Boma Ng’ombe. The name Boma Ng’ombe came from a combination of two Swahili words whereas the word Boma means a house or a cattle cage and the word Ng’ombe means a cow. It is a popular place where Maasai used for trading cows in the recent past and as a result the place is being referred to Boma Ng’ombe ever since. From here you will be able to pass to a supermarket and buy some needs before embarking to the path leading to the Rundugai Village. On the way, we will have short breaks at the best spots to capture amazing views of the Kilimanjaro Mountain and the plains.
Rundugai village walking tour (you may request for an optional cycling tour instead)
Having driven for some time, we will reach to a point where we will leave our van and start to walk in the village streets and across plantations to get an experience on how different crops are grown in diverse ways by examining the Rundugai agricultural activities. You will have a chance to take a few pictures on farm activities and proceed with a walk through the Rundugai village, meet the local groups in their natural habitats including visiting the Maasai Boma. We will then continue walking via the market place (available only on Monday) where the Maasai and other ethnic groups are buying and selling local products. Upon request, the villagers can also arrange for us a dance with local music in styles.
Bird watching
As we pass through the Rundugai Village and across plantations, we will have many chances of spotting different species of birds beautiful as they fly and wonderful as they sing. Pictures are the mirrors of the past, and we hope to help you to reflect better your memorable experience with us even after a hundred years to come. As the bird flies in the air with a wonderful natural background behind it, so will the picture forever stay?
Pictures of the amazing Kilimanjaro mountain views
The way to Rundugai village is full of amazing spots where you can be able to capture wonderful views of the Kilimanjaro Mountain and the plains. However, after the rain farming harvest, the views of the Uhuru summit becomes more clear and vivid to the eyesight. We will extend a little more time to capture more nice pictures to your memorable satisfaction. During the sunset, the views will blow your mind upon the clear crystal sky.
